Description

Johnson &Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc., a member of Johnson &Johnson Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Government Account Director Acute Care covering territories from Denver, Co. throughout the West Coast.
Johnson &Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. provides account management and customer support services to key health care customers, including hospital systems and group purchasing organizations, leading health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and government health care institutions. The company also provides contract management, logistics and supply chain functions for the major Johnson &Johnson franchises.
The Government Account Director Acute Care will be responsible for development, management and implementation of sales strategies with the Federal Government Health Care Agencies on behalf of all Johnson &Johnson Operating Companies. Will have accountability for creation of an environment/awareness for Johnson &Johnson Operating Companies to increase sales, profits and market share.
Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining a mutually beneficial business relationship with assigned National/Regional Government agencies and position Johnson &Johnson as the premier supplier of medical device, diagnostics and pharmaceutical products. Coordinate activities with Johnson &Johnson Government Account Teams and work with Field Management to develop agreements, execute opportunities and increase sales. Meet with key Operating Company Field Sales Management (Regional Directors/Divisional Managers) to establish a government business network (zone/account teams) and excellent working relationship to achieve established business goals in government sales and marketing. Lead Johnson &Johnson contact to all government decision-makers. Develop/implement customized business plan for each National/Regional target account. Build long-term relationships to understand customers needs and project a positive Johnson &Johnson image as premier supplier of medical products to the government. Identify National/Regional key decision-makers and capitalize on relationship to create competitive advantage for Johnson &Johnson. Negotiation of National/Regional contracts and purchasing agreements with government that establish a foundation to achieve Operating Company/HCS goals and objectives. Will coordinate of intra-Sector Operating Company policy and communications concerning government markets. Advises on pricing policy for government customers. Attend Operating Company sales meetings (National/Regional) to provide training, updates concerning government opportunities, programs and sales activities to impact sales growth within their assigned government accounts.
Qualifications .
Successful candidate must have a minimum of a BA/BS. A minimum of 4 years of successful field sales/hospital sales/managed-care, marketing or sales management experience is required. In addition 2 years of supervisory management experience is required. Personal management experience/influence manager- ability to create enthusiasm within Operating Company Field Sales management to motivate sales representatives to increase call activity on government facilities is required. Strong sales/negotiation skills are required. Sales Awareness- ability to recognize opportunities, have a sense of urgency and understand consequences is a must. Ability to build long-term relationships, understand customer's needs and project a positive Johnson &Johnson image as the premier supplier medical, diagnostic and pharmaceutical supplier to the Federal government. Candidate must have the ability to identify key decision-makers and capitalize on relationships to remove barriers and create competitive advantage for Johnson &Johnson. Outstanding communication skills, good listener, and ability to present clear/concise and complete oral/written communications are required. Proven ability to work effectively on a 'high' performance team. In depth knowledge of government marketplace, regulations, and procurement policies is a plus. Proficient skills in MS office programs MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and MS Outlook is required. Experience with Cognos software is a plus. The ability to travel 50% of the time is required. This position requires candidates to work from home.
