Safeco has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused individual to join our Field Auto Estimating Claims team. This is a telecommuting position available to candidates in the Washington DC area and/or surrounding vicinities!
We currently have an opening in Prince George County, MD area for an experienced auto damage field claims examiner. If you have 2-4 years working for an insurance company as an auto damage appraiser, we'd like to speak with you!
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have the following:
-College degree or equivalent experience
-Prior experience with personal computers and working knowledge of MS Office software.
-Good priority setting and organizational skills
-Self motivated and able to work independently in a field assignment
-Insurance Experience in auto damage estimating required
-Clean driving record.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the inspection of auto losses/physical damages in Prince George County, MD and surrounding areas, and must reside in this territory (No relocation assistance provided for this position). Responsibilities will include evaluating coverages, writing estimates, negotiating and settling claims through extensive interaction with insureds and the general public.
*This is a field position requiring a great deal of travel, but none overnight*
