Current Need
Technical Implementation Consultant responsible for the implementation of Horizon Surgical Manager and Pathways Healthcare Scheduling applications. Will work as part of a McKesson project team which includes a dedicated project manager, technical advisor, interface specialist and implementation consultant.
Position Description
Develops a plan to complete technical projects to include setting boundaries, documenting plans, establishing milestones, assessing resource needs, and assessing business implications. Manages technical projects by managing to established plans, allocating resources, helping identify/resolve technical and integration issues, and preparing documentation. Completes specific tasks that are technical in nature that are associated with the project. (Software loads. Technical support of install team and customer. Technical education of IS staff and/or product coordinators. Supports build of technical tables. Assist with planning, setup and resolution of product integration issues. Maintain integrity of system environment. Prepare system for productive use. Technical support of live environment until transition to McKesson support organization.) Responsible for providing topic specific education via webinars to clients. Responsible for ensuring completion of technical tasks involved with technical support, interfaces, integration, data loading, upgrades and software distribution. Evaluates project for process improvements and impact to business. Recommends changes and brings to closure. Serves as mentor and escalation point to project team members by providing guidance and participating and leading in continuous quality improvement. Assists with troubleshooting and implementing preoperative screens and operative record custom to individual customers.
Travel ? up to 25% travel
Location - Can work from home or Roseville, MN office
Additional Knowledge &Skills
Education/Training: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent work experience. Information Services Management Degree may be preferred.
Experience: Typically requires 3 - 5 years application development or systems experience including 2 - 3 years healthcare industry or related experience. Experience with programming languages including HTML and JSP, managing projects, and knowledge of Client/Server and Web-based environments is necessary. Database Management (MS-SQL Server) system knowledge is necessary. SQL knowledge is essential. Proficiency in Windows 2000/2003 operating systems.
