Our client employs a staff of five engineers (all licensed) with a total of 60 years of experience in engineering consulting and two administrative personnel including a CAD manager with 20 plus years experience. They currently specializes in the design of MEP systems for commercial &residential clients in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing &Fire Protection,
Telecommunications, Lighting Design, Energy Solutions, Planning &Development, Condition Assessments &Reports.
We are looking for a Plumbing Engineer with 7+ yrs years Plumbing &Fire Protections systems design experience with an MEP consulting firm (experience must be diversified, major projects list is required with resume). Proficient in AutoCAD - Version 2002 or higher. Proficient with standard MS Office Applications (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK). Great marketing and people skills. Must have Complete design of Plumbing &Fire Protection systems including field surveys, load calculations, design concepts, design criteria, selecting equipment, equipment and distribution layouts, editing specifications, assembly of construction documents, reviewing shop drawings, attending construction meetings and punch list. Project Management ?Meeting with clients, writing proposals, managing finances, trade and deadline coordination. Strong organizational skills, superior verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills and experience in meeting facilitation are highly desired. Must be adaptive, flexible, and ability to work under tight schedules to meet necessary deadlines. Development of Plumbing &Fire Protection design and AutoCAD standards.
Qualifications: 7+ years Plumbing &Fire Protections systems design experience with an MEP consulting firm (experience must be diversified, major projects list is required with resume) Proficient in AutoCAD - Version 2002 or higher Proficient with standard MS Office Applications (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK) Great marketing and people skills BS or BE in related engineering field Technical Environment: NOT LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH EXTENSIVE PUBLIC OR GOVERNMENT EXPERIENCE. PRIVATE SECTOR WORK. EXPERIENCE WORKING IN NYC AND NJ Work Environment: Our client is a start up company. Please explain to the candidates that this is a home office and we will be moving into a ?real? office space on Second Street in Jersey City in June. In the meantime, they will be working mostly from home with a VPN connection to server, they will be attending meetings with clients and meeting once a day at our home office for about
an hour.
