*The key focus of the Reimbursement Manager (RM) position is to establish valuable relationships with key payers, influential state societies and professional associations (Medicare Carriers, state society such as ANCO, MOASC and others, and associations like ACCC, AOHA). The purpose of the position is to develop and execute effective reimbursement strategies that will ensure patient access through appropriate product reimbursement for Wyeth. The position is responsible for staying abreast of trends in reimbursement policy formulation and act as a resource to the organization for market knowledge. Responsible for working with the sales force to educate physicians and office staff about patient access programs and to help resolve issues in accordance with Wyeth policy. The incumbent must strictly abide by all Wyeth policies, Wyeth Code of Conduct and government regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :-
*Develop and execute effective strategies that will ensure patient access to our Oncology product mix. This includes, but is not limited to, providing reimbursement assistance and coaching to both internal and external customers.
*Establish relationships with key policy makers and influential groups within the payer / reimbursement market sector. Know the key decision-makers in your region, CAC's, CMD's, influential state societies and professional societies, and others.
*Stay abreast of reimbursement and market trends, developing market sectors, upcoming changes in reimbursement policy in both private and public sectors, and anticipate and implement appropriate changes to strategy.
*Be an expert in the field and act as a knowledge resource to the organization. RM's have a responsibility to share and educate their unique knowledge with sales, marketing and other departments to help them develop more comprehensive and effective strategies. This may include, but is not limited to, conducting presentations at POA meetings, participating in cross-functional task forces, et cetera.
*Work closely with sales organization to help resolve customer issues around patient access as it relates to the reimbursement and customer's access to our products
*Coach and educate internal and external customers on Wyeth patient access programs, how best to utilize, etc.
*Analyze the position's wide breadth of responsibilities, different partners, and Wyeth's unique oncology product mix to effectively prioritize where to apply one's time and efforts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :-
*Bachelor's degree required
*Master's Degree preferred (Business or Healthcare Administration preferred).
*Minimum 3 years Oncology marketplace and/or Payer field experience required.
*Knowledge of public and private payer policies and the process to create new policies required.
*Field reimbursement support experience in the Oncology marketplace &/or Payer environment preferred.
