We have been around since 1997 in the field of search and retrieval. Our flagship product is in its latest version, which points to a stable, mature product. We have several customers, but expect to grow that number by about 50% in the next few months. We have several other potential customers in our pipeline as well. In short, we're unlikely to go away any time soon. We're a market leader in our industry, although we are expanding into other verticals including government.
Currently we are seeking a mid-level level J2ee engineer with extensive experience with struts, jsp, ejb, working cross platform and developing on an Oracle database. You must have at least 5 years of industry experience and 2-3 years of design and architecting experience.
We're a self-funded company - no VC pressures - and have been profitable for the last 22 quarters in a row. As a small and independent company, we have the flexibility to take the company in whatever direction we want, and employees have a strong say in these matters. Despite being small, we offer benefits comparable to established companies, for example, competitive salary, 401K with matching, health and dental coverage for employees, and 2-3 weeks paid vacation per year. Travel opportunities to Europe and South America exist in the context of customer deployments. Finally, we're open to the idea of telecommuting.
The atmosphere in the company is quite collegial and family-oriented. The org chart is pretty flat, which means it's easy for any employee to talk to the CEO directly, if desired. Work hours are pretty flexible since we're goal-driven although we do ask that employees be available between 10AM-4PM. Occasional work - at - home is not just tolerated, but encouraged as long as the employee is available on Skype/IM/cell/email. If a candidate wants to work for a small, dynamic company with a technologically challenging environment, we're a good fit!
