For our Contact Center Representatives, we are seeking individuals who are available to work a shift between 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, someone who demonstrates professional phone skills while dealing with multiple and rapidly changing demands, and good verbal and written communication skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to contribute to team accountabilities in order to meet service level and abandoned rate goals
Consistently makes an independent business decision in response to customer inquiries
Ability to evaluate and control situations and offer creative solutions
Research and respond to external policyholder requests with timely and accurate information
Ability to meet the average expectations of the quality/productivity standards
Knowledge and understanding of the UnumProvident business functions
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications .
Degree from a four-year college/university preferred.
Exceptional telephone, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills required.
Adaptive/flexible: demonstrate the ability to deal with multiple, concurrent and rapidly changing demands.
Technical proficiency PC applications, and skill related claims, policy administration systems, and/or web based applications.
Thrives in a fast paced, front line customer service environment.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Seeks out job challenges and opportunities to constantly improve skills.
Consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism through a strong work ethic that positively influences results.
Ability to learn and apply multiple processing and benefit systems effectively.
