Overview:
Business Development Manager selling open source consulting services for a rapidly growing firm. This position is a high travel position. Candidates can work from home and be located anywhere in the US if in close proximity to a major airport.
Company:
A consulting group that provides enterprise-level support for open source solutions. This company focuses on convergent information systems, and helps companies find ways to optimize information and resources.
Their team consists of industry-recognized experts in the areas of open source and Agile Development methodology and was instrumental in the development of major open source systems such as Apache, Maven and Ant. They are also equipped to train personnel in the area of Agile development methodology.
The company s development processes focus on shorter timeframes than other software projects, and normally last about 1-4 weeks. At the end of each project the team delivers a discrete functional product and the client can begin using this solution immediately.
Past engagements include developing laboratory information management systems, facilitating contact and knowledge management systems, optimizing and integration e-commerce back-end database and website servers, integrating IT systems of merged companies and creating order and inventory management systems.
Position:
The Business Development Manager that will be a strong asset in marketing and selling these services and can be located anywhere in the United States. This position can definitely take this company to the next level!
The right fit for this position will have a background in development or programming, can understand and communicate technical software and solutions, prefer someone that has government sales experience and has experience with open source technology, must be able to work independently and be results orientated.
