Currently, we are putting together a team of Systems Administrators for a client to work remotely from their home office anywhere in the USA. These positions are 1 year contract opportunities - either W2 OR 1099 (corp to corp).
These positions are 1st shift - day shift.
Web Hosting Transition Engineer
Description of Position:
A Web Hosting Transition Engineer is responsible for the integration and deployment of a customer developed J2EE application on WebSphere 5.1 and 6.0. This includes interfacing with the development teams, project managers and other support teams to ensure the application is properly deployed. The Transition Engineer also provides guidance for process, standards and best practices.
Activities include but are not limited to:
Gathering of deployment requirements from the development team
Executing the WebSphere deployment process for applications
Monitoring the WebSphere infrastructure during customer tests
Train the development teams on J2EE deployment process
Documenting application dependencies for support teams
Troubleshoot application and WebSphere issues with development team

Troubleshoot HACMP
Skills Required:
Excellent understanding of WebSphere 5.x, 6.0 with a minimum of 3 years internet based experience
Excellent understanding of the WebSphere 5.x, 6.0 Network Based Deployment
Experience with or knowledge of Message Queueing (MQ) and Java Messaging Service (JMS)
Excellent understanding of Financial institution hosting environments and policy, procedures
Knowledge of various Web Servers(IHS, SunOne, Netscape, iPlanet)
Knowledge on Unix OS with particular knowledge on AIX and Solaris
Strong Server and network trouble shooting skills
Experience working with a 3-Tier application and network environment
Strong knowledge and applied experience with LAN/WAN technology and TCP/I
Excellent Team work/communication skills
Ability to determine true RCA and recommend permanent solutions
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrate leadership skills during troubleshooting
Ability to summarize complex technical issues in such a way to break the issue down so that the appropriate action can be taken to restore service
Strong knowledge of AIX 5.3, with a minimum 3 years of internet based experience
Strong knowledge of J2EE applications and the J2EE specification as it relates to infrastructure and deployments of applications.
Strong Negotiation and conflict management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with both peers and management
Ability to make good decisions under high stress/fast paced Web Environment

Familiarity with Connect:Direct (preferably including its interaction with HACMP)
