Meijer Restructuring Managers, Layoffs PossibleWOODTV - 8

GRAND RAPIDS - A Meijer stores spokesperson confirms the company is "realigning" its store management, and some layoffs are possible.
The spokesperson cannot say how many jobs will be cut as a result, but they "do not expect any significant impact." They expect the "vast majority" of managers will be placed in other positions.
No hourly employees are affected.
The company is having individual meetings with all of its 4,500 store managers -- 24 to 25 managers at each of its 189 stores -- over the next couple of days.
