Manage the Rainbow Convention Center, the Rain Auditorium (a 131,000-square-foot facility that provides an alternative space for smaller meetings and special events) and three large parking garages that support the convention center.
Consult, formulate, and make recommendations to Assistant City Managers, City Manager and City Council on policy, revenues and financial matters affecting Rainbow Convention Center programs and functions.
Direct and manage the annual operating budget, forecast operational needs, approve expenditures, and establish and manage fees and revenues for facility use.
Responsible for selecting, training, supervising and evaluating a staff of 208. In addition, train and guide dozens of volunteers throughout the year who assist with planning and implementing Rainbow programs.
