Signal Supervisor
Direct signal work leaders and foreman to complete construction projects and required maintenance including FRA required test and inspections.
Evaluate trouble calls and trouble reports to determine extent of damage to or malfunction of signal equipment to determine number of workers and type of equipment and materials needed for repairs.
Inspect signal equipment to determine sequence of repair.
Direct and assist workers in installing and repairing signal equipment, such as wayside signals, defect detectors and crossing protections.
Inspect completed work for conformance to company specifications.
Develop and manage capital and annual operating budgets for the Signal Department.
Provide overall supervisory support by counseling, coaching and directing activities of staff.
Responsible for hiring, training, disciplining and termination of staff as required.
Perform field audits to ensure compliance with ARRC and FRA inspection standards and safety requirements.
