Psychiatric Aide
Accompany patients to shower rooms, and assist them in bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Accompany patients to and from wards for examination and treatment, administer prescribed medications, measure vital signs, perform routine nursing procedures, such as collecting laboratory specimens, giving enemas and douches, and drawing blood samples, and record information in patients' charts.
Assist patients in becoming accustomed to hospital routine and encourage them to participate in social and recreational activities to promote rehabilitation.
Observe patients to ensure that none wanders from ward areas or grounds.
Feed patients or attempts to persuade them to eat, and note and record reasons for rejection of food.
