Pharmacy Aide (working under the direct supervision of a Staff Pharmacist)
Receive prescription requests at the pharmacy window or via telephone.
Assist the pharmacy technician in the preparation of prescriptions, i.e., obtain medications from the stock shelf using a triple check method, count or measure the proper amount of medication into an appropriately labeled container.
Assist the pharmacy technician in reviewing the patient computer profile, checking for correct insurance information, refill quantities and refill intervals to determine how / if to refill the prescription and printing the label.
Assist with drug orders and cross check inventory when received.
Assist with stocking shelves with drugs and supplies.
