Mortgage Broker
Keep fully up to date with all mortgage products and services, responding promptly to customer enquiries received in person/by post or by telephone through CinS leads from other colleagues in branch.
Identify customer needs and sales opportunities at the counter or sales desk and, if relevant, sell the appropriate mortgage product or service.
Use of Connections meetings in branches.
Proactively make required numbers of self generated appointments utilizing existing customer data base.
Conduct mortgage interviews with customers face to face, providing advice and a recommendation where appropriate and actively selling and introducing appropriate Group products and services.
Cultivate strong working relationships with branch colleagues, providing appropriate training, coaching and support to maximize referral opportunities.
Identify referral opportunities from customers, and pass to other product specialists.
Follows up sales leads received from colleagues, TeleDirect, Group channels and previous customer contacts, maximizing all opportunities to progress performance against target.
Keep fully up to date with policy and procedures relating to all aspects of the job, ensuring they are closely adhered to.
Assess customers' suitability for funds and ability to repay in accordance with the Group's lending policy and other appropriate guidelines and procedures, making decisions within own delegated lending discretion or referring to a manager for sanction.
Ensure the prompt and accurate completion of all initial mortgage related administration and documentation, ensuring compliance with lending policies and administrative processes.
Achieve balanced scorecard objectives as agreed with Sales Manager.
Proactively manage own sales performance, using the established processes and procedures for reporting sales, spotting deficiencies and implementing recovery plans to achieve target.
Inform and direct branch customers to the most appropriate channel according to their ongoing requirements, promoting the Internet channel and telephony in order to maximize cost effectiveness and channel choice.
