    2000 - Present

    Fiberglass Laminator
    • Select precut fiberglass mat, cloth, and woodbracing materials, according to model number of boat or golf cart.
    • Place layers of mat and cloth in mold and smooths out wrinkles by hand.
    • Trim excess material from mold, using hand shears.
    • Mix catalyst into resin and saturate cloth and mat with mixture, using brush.
    • Work saturated mat and cloth into shape of mold with hands and squeegee, to remove air bubbles and smooth surfaces.
    • Bond wood reinforcing strips to deck and cabin structures, using resin-saturated fiberglass.
    • Cut hardened fiberglass from mold with trimming knife.
    • Mold part of boat.
    • Install stringers and flooring in hull.
    • Spray chopped fiberglass, resin, and catalyst on mold, using pneumatic spray gun with chopper attachment.
    • Remove hulls and decks from mold.
    • Inspect, clean, and assemble molds prior to start of work.
    • Apply wax to surface of mold to facilitate assembly and removal of laminated parts.
    • Apply resin to surfaces of mold prior to placement of fiberglass mats.
