Supervise crew in patrolling the ferryboat, housekeeping and conducting fire and boat drills.
Provide ship handling and navigation training to JohnDale Ferry Crewmember Specialists Senior (Mate), Crewmember Specialist (Able Seaman) and Crewmember positions.
Coordinate activities with vessels engineer for fuel, water supplies and necessary repairs of the vessel.
Assure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations.
Supervise crew while the vessel is underway.
