Receive queued travel requests and check them for correctness.
Distribute work to Travel Assistants for action, check the work done by Travel Assistants in the Unit before passing them to the Chief of Unit for approval.
Receive travel Requests to arrange travel
Review and verify travel request to ensure conformity with applicable rules.
Advise staff on special daily subsistence rates wherever available.
Complete quotation forms and forward to Travel Agent.
Check fare constructions on all tickets issued by the Travel Agents.
Ascertain that fare quotations given by the Travel Agents are for the most direct and economical routes.
Draft faxes to offices for issuance of tickets to travelers.
Check on irregularities on invoices e.g. work out cost-saving itineraries and flight connections.
