Operate and maintain (mechanical side) station power generation facilities. Liaise with relevant trade groups regarding power house maintenance requirements.
Manage and maintain mobile and stationary mechanical plant and equipment (portable generators/pumps, 4x4 tractors, forklifts etc).
Operate plant and equipment as required (loaders, forklifts, tractors, etc).
Provide mechanical engineering services to various user groups.
Provide operator training/endorsement on vehicles and plant as required.
Read paper or electronic instructions to understand, document and closed work orders to be completed.
Performed duties in both the trailer and tractor areas of the shop when completing trailer PMs, annual inspections and minor repairs on door seals, hardware, electrical, brakes, suspension and minor body work.
Worked outdoors at the Fuel Island or similar areas to perform safety, or other related inspections and write-ups.
Performed express-related services including tire changing, minor brake, electrical and safety related inspections and work.
Utilized computer system (M5) to accurately create, track and complete work order repairs including the tracking of time (labor hours), parts used and work completed.
Determined initial estimation of required repairs and directed the estimation to a qualified Mechanic who could further diagnose and estimate the required repair, cost and repair timeline.
