Alexandria, VA - Global Experiences, a leader in customized international internships, has teamed up with Sardinia-based Italian career specialist HowToItaly to provide an added experience for interns in the company's Florence location.
To complement Global Experiences' existing customized internship programs in Italy, an interactive, one-day workshop will be added in June in its Florence location to give interns an understanding of Italian business culture and general life as an American living in Italy. The workshop, delivered by HowToItaly, will be given from the point of view of a foreigner living in Italy as well as the Italian business perspective.
"We are really looking forward to working with Global Experiences and to preparing interns for their experience in-company," said HowToItaly co-founder Emma Bird. "People often assume that working in a foreign country is the same as working in their home country but cross-cultural communication can lead to all kinds of problems. Our crash course will ensure participants make an excellent impression on their Italian boss and co-workers."
The HowToItaly workshop in Florence will be in addition to the existing Global Experiences internship programs, available to college age students and recent graduates, which include career consultation, on the ground support, for-credit components, accommodation, and other elements necessary for successful international programs.
