Winnipeg, MB - The Christian Career Network, a non-profit organization providing on-line job search and placement resources for employment candidates and Christian employers, have partnered with Job Target to create a newly designed Christian jobs web site focusing on the religious employment market. MinistryEmployment.com "America's Christian Job Source" has been on-line since 2001, and their newly designed and upgraded site was launched May 1, 2007.
"One of the upgrades that we are most excited about is the new advanced privacy feature of our resume database. In particular we have transitioned to a career profile system that allows Christian job seekers to post anonymous resumes, while retaining privacy of contact information," explained Bob Wiebe, Executive Director of the Christian Career Network. "Our new resume database ensures job seekers a level of privacy that is simply not available on most other on-line job web sites."
The anonymous resume bank feature enables job seekers to list their experience and qualifications in a privacy protected environment. By giving both active and passive job seekers the ability to anonymously post their resumes, this service allows job seekers to stay connected to the Christian jobs market while maintaining full control of their confidential information.
When a Christian employer reviews an anonymous resume and decides they want to consider the job seeker for an opportunity, they will then construct an overview that will be emailed to the job seeker's account, and placed in the "My Contact Requests" section. The job seeker can then review the job opportunity and decide whether they want to be considered for the position. No contact information is exchanged until the job seeker gives their permission and releases the contact information to the employer. In return, employers have the option to pay only for the resumes that are a good fit for their job opening with the Pay-Per-Resume feature. If the job seeker declines the employer's request for contact, the employer pays nothing.
Another new feature added to the MinistryEmployment.com web site is a Ministry Job Alert system that notifies job seekers by email of new Christian jobs that match their search criteria (by location, job type, and employment category) and a new job search tool that will allow job seekers to save personal job searches and to apply for open positions directly from within the web site.
