East Providence, RI -- Benefit Concepts, a leading benefit administration outsourcing company, today announced their Total Work-Life Benefit Administration service. Benefit Concepts' dynamic new participant website serves as a work-life benefits portal for each benefit eligible employee. As an employee moves through the various life events, the work-life portal helps the employee manage employer sponsored benefits.

The process begins when a new employee is hired; the employee compares, selects and enrolls in all employer-sponsored benefits through the work-life portal. Confirmation statements, sent to the employee's home, illustrate the elected benefits and detail contributions for those benefits.

The employee also elects to participate in a Flexible Spending Account for medical or dependent care, or both through the work-life portal. The employee submits their FSA claims on-line through the same portal. During the year the employees may continually check their account for balances, claims and payments.

As the employee's career progresses and new enrollment events occur, either by job status change or life event, the employee again makes new elections via the work-life portal.

Each year as the new benefits year approaches, the employee completes the open enrollment process using the work-life portal. The employee can review current benefits, compare options and rates for the coming year and make new elections.

Finally when the employee is separated from employment and is eligible for benefits continuation under COBRA, all COBRA activity is controlled through the work-life participant portal. The COBRA participant can review benefits, payment status and the amount of time remaining on COBRA.

Also Retirees and LOA participants will also use the work-life portal to elect and/or change benefit elections and track the status of payments.

The simplicity of a single point of entry to benefits administration for all participants, regardless of their work-life stage, is a key participant benefit of the work-life portal.
