When you go on a Java job interview, the interviewer is looking for more than just someone who can write computer programs. Sure, the organization is going to want to see that you have the required technical experience and training to perform the duties, but those attributes only go as far as making you eligible for the hire. Predicting the questions you will receive during your Java job interview is simple. Simply imagine the kinds of questions that someone would ask to determine if you fit the profile of the target job you have created. Developing answers to these questions is a little bit trickier. To effectively and honestly do this, you should take your existing experience and find a way to make it paint the picture of you as an example of the ideal candidate. A strong method of linking your experience to the desired candidate profile is to use your past job and personal history as an example or proof of how well you match an aspect of the profile. Miniature narratives, which contain a situation, action and result relevant to the target position, are especially effective in this regard.

The last Java job interview preparation step is practice. Getting together with a friend or job search partner offers you a chance to put your theoretical knowledge into action. Many of us have a tendency to answer questions with simple informational answers, so transitioning from a question to a story might be an unnatural move for many people. Answering the sample questions in a way that creates compelling reasons is a great way to learn to do that more and more naturally. If it's possible, you can videotape or tape-record the mock interview session, then use that tape for a basis for self-evaluation later.
