Interview questions are really a test. This test is trying to determine what qualifications, skills, or abilities you have to be successful in the position you are applying for. Most of the questions will focus on your skills, your working style, your ability to work well with others, how well you handle authority, your analytical skills, etc. Basically, are you are a good fit for their company?
It should not be too hard to anticipate possible interview questions. For example, if you want a management position you could probably guess at some of the subjects that will be discussed: Can you handle being in charge of others? What is your management style? Do you like to help other employees? How do you feel about punctuality? How do you handle disputes among employees?
Create a list of the qualifications needed and the responsibilities for the job you are applying for. Look at these qualifications and responsibilities and come up with questions you may ask a job applicant. What would you want to know if you were the interviewer? Employers will probably ask some of the same questions.
Interviewers will also want to see if you have researched the company, so be prepared for questions about the company. They will want to know about your education, job training, qualifications, and skills. You can create a list of all of this information ahead of time. Create the list in a way that is easy to visually scan; this way you can look down quickly and answer the questions quickly. Also, try to review and/or memorize this information as accurately as possible. Interviewers want to know that you feel qualified, knowledgeable, and confident about your own abilities.
