The arts in Houston are bustling with excitement. Houston Proud and the Cultural Arts Council of Houston invite you to join our campaign to Celebrate the Arts.
With the opening of the Wortham Theater Center and the Menil Collection in May and June, Houstonians will have a special opportunity to enjoy the benefits of Houston’s cultural diversity. Here’s how you can participate:
• Attend Performances and Exhibitions
Reward your employees and customers with a Celebrate the Arts sampler kit or buy one for yourself. The sampler enables you to see some of Houston’s best performances and exhibitions at a fraction of the regular cost. The kit includes coupons which may be exchanged for five performing arts tickets and five visual arts admissions. The cost is $40 with a total value of more than $250. Call 524-ARTS to order. • Promote Awareness of the Arts
Combine the Celebrate the Arts theme with any of your regular advertising to promote the arts. When you use the Celebrate the Arts logo or advertise in an arts section of the Houston Chronicle, the Chronicle will give you a special discount. See enclosure for more information.
• Create Your Own Celebration
Consider our list of suggestions or use your imagination. Respond by completing the enclosure or call the Celebrate the Arts Hotline, 524-ARTS.
In just a few weeks, Houston will be the focus of international attention. Houston Proud, the Cultural Arts Council and you can demonstrate to Houstonians and people around the world that Houston is a world-class city. Be a part of the excitement. Join the Celebration!
