By now you have certainly read the press releases on the almost unbelievable strides TRB has made this year under your leadership.
As you know, we are asking you to be our guest at the annual dinner meeting December 1, where we can make a formal “Excellence in Leadership” presentation before the entire membership. But before that date, I simply wanted to express my personal gratitude.
I’m sure you’re not the kind of person who sits around and counts his trophies, so I wanted to help you pinpoint your most obvious contributions this year: Under your direction, we have added six new staffers, we have finally escaped the red ink on our financial pages, and we have solicited support for and completed the Build-a-Home project for senior citizens.
In my opinion—and I might add the opinion of all I’ve talked with this year—we couldn’t have chosen a more fine motivator, speaker, creative guru, and general all-around committed colleague to carry the ball for us this year.
