Founded in 1898 as Newington Children's Hospital, this teaching facility is home to the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics and its residency program in pediatrics. Focusing totally on children's healthcare & housing 133 beds, the hospital provides 24-hour pediatric emergency care, intensive care, neonatal intensive care, surgery, cystic fibrosis center and a full range of other primary, advanced & specialized treatments & services to meet the needs of pediatric inpatients & outpatients.
