Midwest Wholesale Grocers needs an experienced Director of Distribution. We are an established, stable company and have served a 3 state area for 28 years. Midwest uses a sophisticated, integrated, computerized system with bar coding for ordering, inventory, shipping, tracking, and billing. You will work with the warehousing manager to coordinate inventory, scheduling and shipping.
Requirements:
* Nine years of experience in transportation in a union
environment.
* Complete knowledge of shipping/receiving processes.
* Computer literate.
* Degree preferred.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Familiarity with trucking and rail.
* Experience with JIT system.
* Thorough knowledge of I.C.C. regulations.
* Experience with perishables is a real plus.
