State University seeks a full-time Technician for Cell Biology Lab studying the mechanisms, environmental regulators, and ecological role of cell motility in freshwater diatoms. Responsibilities include maintenance of cell cultures and lab supplies, as well as performing motility studies and helping train undergraduate research assistants.
Requires a bachelor's degree in Biology or related field. Prefer candidates with prior experience in video and fluorescent microscopy, algal cell isolation and culture, datom taxonomy, protein purification and analysis, and/or algal ecology.
