National headquarters of the privately owned Sports & Fitness Corporation has an immediate opening for an experienced Public Relations Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a corporate or agency setting. Demonstrated creative writing, public speaking, and news release editing skills are mandatory.
The PR Manager is responsible for developing and managing the organization's media relations strategies, programs, and services. This includes supervising staff and external vendors, contributing to the writing and national distribution of more than 2,500 annual news releases about this unique company, preparing speeches, coordinating personal appearances, and overseeing the development of a quarterly newsletter. Some travel is required for major national events and media appearances.
Sports & Fitness provides many exciting public relations opportunities. In addition to leading the world in research and development in our field, we sponsor dozens of competitions and health fairs promoting physical activity and fitness for all ages.
