As the leading information provider in Texas for nearly a century, Big City News is continuing its tradition of excellence in print media while expanding into alternative technologies to become the information partner of choice for readers and advertisers in every market we serve.
We currently have an exciting opportunity in the Marketing & Strategic Planning Department. This department works on a wide range of challenging projects including advertising sales strategies, new product development, pricing, and exploring strategic business alliances.
You will provide key leadership and analytical support to major marketing efforts aimed at creating new revenue opportunities and improving current performance. In this position, you will interact with all levels of management throughout the company, and you will be asked to balance many projects simultaneously under tight deadline pressures. It's a BIG job.
The successful candidate will have:
* Ability to structure, analyze and recommend solutions to
business problems.
* Superior analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
* Highly effective interpersonal skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Minimum 2+ years experience + Bachelor's degree
(MBA preferred).
* Understanding of and appreciation for cutting edge
information technologies.
