Job Title: Corrections Officer Company Name: Illinois State Penitentiary Job Location: Kankakee, IL
Illinois State Penitentiary needs a law enforcement professional at the Kankakee maximum security facility. You will be responsible for enforcing the prison's rules/regulations and maintaining order and security among all inmates.
To qualify for this position, you must have:
* High school diploma or equivalent + police academy
certification.
* Valid driver's license.
* Ability to think quickly and act decisively.
* 2-3 years previous corrections experience.
* No felony convictions.
You must be at least 21 years old, and you must pass both a physical fitness and drug-screen test prior to employment. Work schedule is 4 days a week/12 hours a day. You will be in rotation for emergency on-call duty. Holiday and weekend hours required.
