Recent law school graduates, here's your chance to dig in. Legal Aid Services of Toledo has an opening. You will work on behalf of individuals who do not, due to cost, have access to private legal assistance. Your client base will be primarily low income, inner city residents. You'll do trial and appellate work, and community outreach. You must be flexible and able to communicate clearly on all levels.
You won't have a swanky, plush office with ferns, but you will have opportunities and variety you will never get in a large corporate law firm. You'll handle everything from property disputes to discrimination suits. You won't make the big bucks, but you'll gain big experience. Salary is $30,000-$33,000. You do enjoy outstanding benefits including health/dental and 401k.
You must be a member of the Ohio bar. No relocation assistance offered.
