Jackson Insurance has been a leader in the property and casualty market since 1921. We're currently seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Underwriter who will have diverse responsibilities:
* Underwrite and market commercial lines.
* Help develop a new territory.
* Act as liaison between the agencies and the company.
* Review production and profitability of selected agents.
* Implement and manage corporate revenue plan.
Job Requirements:
* BA degree.
* Participation in CPCU or CIC.
* 4 years experience as a multi-line Commercial Underwriter.
* Experience with independent agent system.
* Able to travel periodically.
Jackson Insurance is currently expanding our Property & Casualty Division into Alabama. This is a unique opportunity to assist in developing a new territory, building on a solid foundation and working with other experienced professionals. This high-profile position reports directly to our Vice President.
We offer a competitive salary and extensive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance, 401K plan, and education assistance. Initially, this position will involve extensive travel; we will build in a generous travel allowance and offer a bonus if the new territory meets our revenue goals within one year.
