Executive Director of Information & Network Services: Come back to college and "Celebrate Excellence" with us. Jasper Community College, 50 miles west of Denver, is a national leader in information systems and telecommunications technologies. We are seeking an MIS expert to continue that tradition and enhance our reputation. You'll oversee a new, state-of-the-art $3 million academic computing center and work with professors who teach information systems and telecommunications courses.
Responsibilities:
* Report to Vice President of Finance & Operations.
* In charge of academic and administrative computing services.
* Management of computing resources, including prompt
recommendations for incorporating new technologies.
* Planning, budgeting, implementing and administering a
campus-wide infrastructure of applications in a multi-platform
environment.
* Ensure appropriate training for professors and administrative
staff.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in MIS or related field.
* 5 years of experience, preferably in an academic environment.
* Knowledge of Ethernet networking, Internet functions, client
server technology, telecommunications, and multiple
computer environments.
* Experience in planning and budgeting.
* Ability to work with interdisciplinary groups from the college
and the community. Must be able to communicate
effectively with avid technophiles, and people
who don't know how to turn on a computer.
