Giant Works, a $175 billion international manufacturer in the automotive industry, has an opening in its Human Resources department for a skilled Labor Relations Manager.
Our workforce of more than 150,000 is represented by five inter-related labor unions. The Labor Relations Manager serves as the primary liaison between corporate and union management for all issues relating to workforce compensation, working conditions/environment, benefits, pensions, and productivity standards.
The ideal candidate for this position has 10+ years experience in labor negotiations, a working knowledge of current labor law, contract negotiation skills, a background in job classification analysis, a full understanding of compensation/benefits program development, and management expertise. This individual must be a leader, with the ability to facilitate intense debates. Excellent communication skills, creativity, and strong decision-making skills are essential.
