As General Manager of a Slumber Stay Motel property, you will manage all front/back desk operations, with full profit/loss responsibility. You'll be responsible for the overall quality of our guests' experiences. Your primary objective will be to ensure guest satisfaction. You also will direct all staff development, training, hiring, and scheduling. In motels with restaurants on-site, you will work closely with the restaurant manager to implement ways to encourage patronage by our guests.
We require a college degree and 3+ years of previous management experience, preferably in the hospitality or customer service industry. A background in accounting/P&L is essential. You must be willing to relocate and live on-site.
Slumber Stay Motels is a national chain with more than 300 properties. Our sites offer a clean, moderately priced option for business and family travel needs. After a two-month training period in Boston, you will be assigned to one of 40 U.S. cities where positions are now open. You'll enjoy a rent-free apartment with paid utilities, a competitive salary, and top benefits. Managers of facilities with significantly improved profits and/or customer satisfaction (as measured by comment cards and complaints to the home office) will get significant bonuses. No relocation assistance is available; upon assignment, we will pay moving expenses.
