Marino Health Systems seeks an experienced Social Worker to work with a variety of patients with diverse degrees of physical and/or psychosocial impairment. Our goal is to increase patient's functional level to maximum independence. You'll work as a part of a patient-focused, multi-disciplinary team in developing and updating treatment plans in response to patient needs. We strive to break huge strides down into smaller, manageable steps for our patients, reviewing progress and setting goals weekly.
Responsibilities:
* Education of staff regarding psycho-social issues that affect
patient's functional level and response to treatment.
* Interact with patients to help evaluate progress and formulate
treatment plan.
* Participation in community meetings.
* Work with families and patients in discharge planning to ensure
continuity of care.
Qualifications:
* Masters degree from an accredited school of social work
and possession of the requirements necessary for
application for licensure as a clinical social worker
as determined by the California Board of Behavioral
Science Examiners.
* Well-organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to interact independently with patients, their
families, staff and medical professionals.
Salary/Benefits:
Initially, this will be a part time position paying $25.00 per hour. We guarantee 30 hours per week. We anticipate that within a year this will be a full-time position with full benefits. You must pass a physical examination, including a drug screen. This is a non-smoking facility. No relocation assistance is offered.
