Optometric Assistant needed for suburban practice. You'll work closely with Dr. Lave, Dr. Brown and our experienced administrative staff in inviting, non-smoking offices.
Responsibilities:
* Obtain and review patients' records.
* Assist in administering tests for near and far acuity,
depth perception, macula integrity, color perception
and visual field.
* Instruct patients in visual therapy techniques and contact
lens usage.
* Perform visual field screening.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or 2 years experience in an optometric facility.
* Familiarity with visual field screening.
* Skilled with ocular testing equipment and techniques.
* Professional demeanor and good communication skills.
Position is full-time, with Saturday and Sunday hours required. You'll earn $12.00 an hour, with time and a half for overtime (more than 40 hours per week). Eyes Have It is located in the Clear Vista shopping area, just three minutes from the Post Road exit of I-65. You'll have free parking. There's a day care center just 1/2 block away.
