Carson Public School System of Carson, Oklahoma, seeks an Assistant Superintendent of Finance. The school system serves a student population of approximately 1,400 in two elementary schools, one middle school and one high school.
Responsibilities include the management of school's finance, accounting, A/P, internal audit, budget, purchasing, warehouse, information systems, printing and food service programs. Staff includes more that 150 employees. Due to declining enrollment and a decreasing tax base, we are cutting some programs, services and jobs. Working closely with the Superintendent, fellow administrators, school principals and the school board, the Assistant Superintendent of Finance will play a major role in this challenging process.
Qualifications include a college degree, preferably in accounting or business related field, and 4 years of experience in a similar position. Candidates must be able to see the big picture and to articulate and document their recommendations clearly.
Salary range is $48,200-$66,500 depending upon experience. Benefits include medical/dental and a fully funded retirement fund. No relocation assistance is provided.
