Adult Ed & Nonnative Literacy Coordinator needed for Horizons Community College. Our mission is to offer "Better Living Through Learning." In this job, you will bring that mission to life, serving adults in a 4 county area.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise an aggressive community outreach
program with responsibility for Literacy, Pre-GED, GED,
Nonnative Literacy, Citizenship, Employment Skills,
and Topics classes
* Coordinate staff development
* Implement the student assessment and
evaluation process
Requirements:
* 5 years teaching or administrative experience in Adult Basic
Education/GED or English as a Second Language
* MS degree in TESOL, applied linguistics, adult education or
a related area
* Limited travel and one evening of work per week
The ideal candidate will also be fluent in Spanish and have experience with disadvantaged adults.
