ATLANTA, GA, March 10, 2000 – ResumeBroadcaster, a push technology that automatically matches job seekers' resumes with the qualifications listed for hundreds of open positions announced today that leading web portal, AltaVista will market its services through a co-brand on AltaVista's Career Center.
"As a component of our marketing strategy for capturing marketshare and building our brand, we recently decided to begin aggressively marketing our ResumeBroadcaster services through key partnerships with major web portals and search engines. AltaVista is the first in what we believe will be a long line of partnerships with other well-branded, well-positioned web properties that can drive significant traffic to ResumeBroadcaster, consequently extending our brand and driving increased revenues", said Brett Warner, CEO of ResumeBroadcaster. Several other major web portals and hub properties are entertaining similar partnerships with ResumeBroadcaster at this time, Warner said.
"We chose to partner with ResumeBroadcaster because of its leadership position in the online resume distribution market and because of the value the service provides AltaVista Career Center users", said Bill Gregory, Director of Business Development for WorkLife, the partner that operates AltaVista's career vertical. "We believe this partnership gives us an advantage in providing best of class resume distribution services and will continue to build and solidify customer loyalty in that vertical on AltaVista's site", said Gregory.
According to sources close to the deal, AltaVista is receiving a revenue share in exchange for co-branding and marketing the ResumeBroadcaster service. Neither ResumeBroadcaster nor AltaVista officials would comment on the financial components of the deal.
