Florida Unemployment Remains Below National Rate In SeptemberThe Associated Press

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida's job market continued its expansion in September with the unemployment rate at 5.2 percent, down from 5.4 percent a month earlier, the state reported Friday.
The nation's unemployment remained at 6.1 percent.
In Florida, there were 423,000 workers without jobs in September, according to The Agency for Workforce Innovation.
Walton County in the Panhandle had the state's lowest unemployment rate at 2 percent. Hendry County, in a heavily agricultural area in south-central Florida, had the highest unemployment rate with 15.6 percent, down from 17.5 percent a month ago.
