CONCORD, N.H. - People who can't work certain shifts because they are caring for a disabled family member can now collect unemployment in New Hampshire.

Family members who are the only adult available to care for a physically of mentally disabled family member would qualify under the new law, which took effect yesterday. A doctor must certify that the family member needs the care.
