The company also announced layoffs at an Ohio plant late last week.
The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette reports the Decatur plant shut down several times in 2005 to bring production in line with demand. In 2000, 450 jobs were cut at the facility.
In 2005, the plant shut down at least three times to bring production in line with demand. The various layoffs affected various segments of the workforce, ranging from 125 to all 1,100 hourly employees.
In 2000, Fleetwood cut about 450 jobs in Decatur.
