Ohio saw fewer layoffs this November compared with last year, but had a huge increase from October.
The Buckeye State saw almost 5,000 layoffs in November compared with more than 5,600 layoffs in November 2005. November numbers were almost double those of October this year, which saw 2,900 layoffs.
Ohio was ranked fifth in the country for the number of layoffs it saw in the first 11 months of this year.
The state had almost 65,000 layoffs from January to November, coming in behind California with the most layoffs at 283,000, then Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York.
