Cessna Aircraft Co. CEO and President Jack Pelton warned employees Thursday of another round of layoffs.
According to a Wichita, Kan. TV station, Pelton sent employees an e-mail citing a need for further work force reductions and the “potential of additional furloughs.”
No information regarding the number of employees being laid off was given, but Pelton did say the 60-day notices would go out by June 19.
The Wichita aircraft manufacturer has announced 5,300 layoffs since November.
In April, Cessna said it will close its plant in Bend and lay off 150 workers there.
