General Electric is cutting more jobs at its plant in West Burlington, citing a decline in production orders.

Company spokeswoman Sharon Fish says 50 workers will be laid off at the end of the month. She says about 10 of those will be through early retirement.

In June, the company cut about 50 jobs. About 30 people were laid off with another 20 taking early retirement.

The West Burlington plant manufactures low-voltage switchgear. With the recently layoffs, the plant will employ about 200 workers.
