WHEELING -- Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel has begun involuntary layoffs of management.
The company could not confirm Thursday how many workers have been terminated through this process.
A company spokesperson did say a number of workers were approached Thursday and given the news. This includes long time company spokesman Jim Kosowski.
Wheeling Pitt has been working to reduce its management levels for a month now. They offered 120 workers a severance package.
It's not known how many people accepted the offer. They have until April 26 to decide.
