More than 200 jobs hang in the balance at Kraft Foods. The company has announced it will layoff workers at its plant in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County. The company plans to consolidate its processed cheese production into three Midwestern plants by next summer.

Kraft says it does not know how many workers will be affected.Currently, there are 21 salaried and 213 hourly positions in the department.The plant will continue to make other products such as Grey Poupon mustards and A-1 steak sauces.
